24″ iMac

Australian fans as well as those who wish to buy the latest 24” iMac released in April 2008 are expected to throng the newly launched Apple store in Sydney after it was unveiled last June 19, 2008. Previously, the ever mischievous Apple allowed a tiny teaser when they uncovered the outer layer of the three storey affair last week. They did so to let visitors and curious on-lookers a brief glimpse as well as to take photos with their mobile phones before they placed a humongous black curtain to shield the store’s interior.

The Apple flagship store is located at 367 George Street. Apple is confident that their expansion plans in Australia will bear fruit and they have even decided to follow suit with three other stores in the continent. The second will be build in the vicinity of Sydney’s Chatswood area while the third will open its doors somewhere in Melbourne. Both will be unveiled come the Christmas holidays.

One additional store will be based in Stonnington where the store will be one of the many tenants in the Fun Factory building. This building is touted to undergo a redevelopment program where $200 million will be spend to uplift its image amongst city dwellers in Melbourne. This fourth Apple store will be made more opulent and larger than the rest.
